Hi and welcome to ‘Foto-Friday’
As the name suggests, I’m planning to share a single photo with you each Friday, but miss-spelling photo to combine the double F of the 2 words. Yes I know, not my most creative moment (it is spelt Foto in Portuguese though!)
Unlike the other articles on my site, this will be one shot and a few words. So let’s have this week’s shot:
I find Portugal inspiring to shoot – but some days the heat can be really a little bit too much for my dainty northern European system!!
I chanced upon an free entry exhibition, and went inside to escape the heat. Divided up into smaller interconnected rooms, they had all the doors open in an attempt to let some breeze through.

Great!
Colours, light, … just right.
The proportions right to balance the importance of the first room, the next room and the far door.
And the doors open at just the right angle.
( ..as I see it.)
A photo that gives me a lot of associations…

Allow me a curious question, did you try out different camera positions first or was it clear to you at once?

Thanks very much Kristian,
I just went back and checked, and I only took one frame of the scene, so saw it in one I guess! Although I had to straighten it slightly in post (a bugbear of mine and I’ll still not convinced it’s straight).
I cloned something off the wall as well!
It was originally going to be in mono, but I’m glad I chose colour (I usually do!)
