Foto Friday: The Contemplator

Foto-Friday, every Friday a new picture!

A calm winter’s day

The surf strikes the sand and the light slowly begins to fade

The empty space is deafening the mind is quietened by contemplation

  1. Strange how differently we react,
    I do feel the contemplation,
but personally I find the empty space calming,
and the slightly dark vignette a little threatening…

    I certainly like the photo!

( And there is, I think, some atmosphere of impressionist painting about it?)

    1. Thank you as ever Kristian

I sometimes like to use words that don’t initially make sense together

An empty space can be serene, but our thoughts can then become deafening, the vignette I used to try and show the contemplation (I don’t normally do a vignette, unless I’m using the 7artisans in which case it does it for me!)

This shot has had more PP than I’d normally give it, so I agree with you that it has a painterly quality to it.
