I’m not sure if this is a true quote or just a cliché…
Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art
(A quick google suggested many derivative sources, but I digress)
This is another old shot, circa late 2017 (not so many years ago, but hardly recent)
Where I live has a lot of graffiti…
..quick a chunk of it is pretty naff to be honest
But a large amount of it is truly wonderful.
Beautiful, witty, topical, skilfully done, inventive, and clever
The graffiti is photogenic in its own right.
But occasionally something in real life momentarily connects with the graffiti and a fleeting moment can be captured
I had only just got a rangefinder camera and I was practicing focusing on a moving subject and tracking it. The cat leapt up onto the wall and I panned to follow it.
It was at that point that I noticed what was painted on the wall and I got the notion for this shot.
