Foto-Friday, every Friday a new picture (missed one last week; I was on holiday, I’m sure you all coped without!!)
Sometimes you can be somewhere ordinary and everyday (very frequently in fact!)
A station, or a high street or a bus stop
It’s easy to zone out in these places.
These places are transitional, they connect the shops you want or the destinations you need
In short, we go there to go somewhere else, be that a bus ride to a far away place or the shop two doors up
Because these places are transitional, we become transitional – our minds wandering internally!
We zone out, we sink within ourselves.
Depending on the location, there could be dozens or hundreds of folks all in one place..
…all transitioning from one spot to the next..
..all focused on what they’re there for, all zoned out and deeply thinking within themselves
So many lives in close physical proximity yet cerebrally distant, you can see it in their faces
I’m often tempted to ask them what they’re thinking about
