Foto Friday: Inner Sight

Scroll down to content

Foto-Friday, every Friday a new picture

I met this cat recently, one eye was nearly all black and the other misty white.

She can’t have been able to see very well..

But she was one of the most affectionate and loving cats I’ve met in a while she’d go up to everyone who passed by instinctively assessing who liked cats then soliciting endless strokes and belly rubs

It makes me wonder

Just how she perceives the world?

A cat with healthy eyes can only see greens and blues (they lack the red cone photoreceptors necessary for full colour vision)

But this cat surely had degraded sight.

I assume she inhabits a world of sense, smell and that inner sight that all sapient beings possess…

..the ability to know if a situation feels right or not.

That’s a genuine skill right there!

A skill we have too, if we chose to cultivate it.

Inner Sight
