Foto Friday: Out of the Darkness and Into the Light

Foto-Friday, every Friday a new picture 🙂 oh and today’s my birthday 😀 😀

Portugal (and many other countries) are filled with churches.

Beautifully decorated and cavernous spaces they’re popular with tourists, worshippers and the curious

Personally, I’m not religious but the majesty of these structures is beyond repute. Whatever people seek here I hope they find it.

…which is a good experience after one has Begun a Journey!

I too like to go into churches (or other temples).
Sometimes you can feel in the architecture the faith or love of those who built it.

    1. Thank you very much Kristian,

In the previous 12 months, I’ve acquired a Leica, figured out how to live very poor and not need a normal job and put on a street photography themed show where I sold prints.

I fear that was the pinnacle of my 4+ decades of existence 😀

      1. It sounds like that last 12 months have given you quite some preparation for your unknown future!

Don’t forget, pinnacles tend to come as surprises…

The optimist believes we live in the best of worlds…
… and the pessimist fears he is right.

      2. More like the past 36 🙂

But I’m ever so slowly getting where I want… I’m inherently optimistic, honest!

But thank you very, very much.
