Friday arrives so it’s Foto-Friday time!
A nice bit of happenstance in this week’s street photo!
I’d say picture the scene but y’know, just look at the photo 😅
I found the wabi sabi nature of the building worthy of a photo on it’s own merit, the faded door, the missing tiles. It had (and probably still does) a lived-in appearance, a testiment to the riguers of actual life rather than a vintage show home.
As luck would have it the door opened as I was about to click the shutter..
..and not only did the emerging occupant add a human touch and a sense of movement, but her patterned shirt so wonderfully contrasted and complimented the facade!
I felt that it really added to the image that I was planning to take anyway.
To think if I’d taken my shot just a few moments before or afterwards, how very different it would have been.
It was a complete serendipitous bonus!
(And yes in case you’re wondering, after her surprise that you see here, we exchanged smiles and a couple of words and she was ok with it)
